Today's interview comes from Susan B. Mead of Susanbmead.com- where she helps "others find the calm in the chaos of life," particularly if that chaos encompasses "doubt, grief or loss". A lady of immense wisdom in her own right, it makes complete sense that her favourite woman of the Bible would be "one wise woman" from the second book of Samuel. Read on as Susan details the 5 lessons that she learned from her story personally and that we, as modern women, can also implement in our lives.
Who is your favourite woman of the Bible and why? What would you say that modern women can learn from her?
My favourite woman of the Bible is "one wise woman" from 2 Samuel 20:1-22. The 5 lessons I learned from her, and believe others can too, are the importance of:
- Listening (as Joab did her)
- Seeking to understand (by asking powerful questions to clarify purpose)
- Offering a mutually beneficial solution
- Gathering consent
- Taking action
Please finish the sentence: I am a Christian woman who is...
I am a Christian woman who believes God loves each one of us uniquely and eternally.
Please finish the sentence: I am a Christian woman who is not…
I am a Christian woman who is not afraid to share my faith, as God is love and He wants His children to know how much He loves them.
Any final words of encouragement?
God is LOVE. If you know love, you know God. Find Him here (in 1 John 4).
