Today's interview feature comes from Deb Wolf of Countingmyblessings.com, where she writes about "faith and life" in general. Read on as she expands upon Ruth, Deborah, Eunice and Esther (her 4 favourite women of the Bible), why she identifies with them and what we, as modern women, can learn from each one.
Who is your favourite woman of the Bible and why? What would you say that modern women can learn from her?
My middle name is Ruth, my first name is Deborah, my mother's name was Eunice and my grandmother was Esther; so it's hard for me to choose just one:
- Ruth was loving, loyal, and obedient
- Deborah was brave
- Eunice was a wise mother who taught her son well
- Esther was an amazing leader besides being brave and beautiful.
I absolutely love all of the wonderful women represented in Scripture.

I am a Christian woman who loves sharing the amazing ways God transformed a “good little church girl” into a woman of faith. I love studying Scripture and talking faith with friends and family. Most importantly, I am a work in progress and I'm taking life one grace-filled moment at a time.

This is hard for me. I don't like to think in terms of negatives. There are so many divisions and negatives said about Christianity. I want to look to what is:
"True, and honourable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. [Thinking] about things that are excellent and worthy of praise." Philippians 4:8
I have a long way to go to get it right, but that is my goal and my prayer.
Any final words of encouragement?
I really believe the best thing we can do as Christian women is to listen to and encourage each other.
