How to deal with naysayers

When I first got the idea of Media Magic, not everyone understood my vision

For example, a lot of people questioned why I didn't start doing retreats more locally and then build up to hosting them internationally. Others wondered why I was creating a live experience, full stop, when I could just create a course or coach virtually

All of which, had me majorly discouraged and second-guessing myself at times

Fast forward to now and I completed my first international retreat in Tulum, Mexico last July (which I'm still receiving amazing feedback from) and getting ready to host my second one in Mykonos, Greece from October 2nd-6th

What led to this success was transferring the marketing strategy "show; don't tell" to my every day life. In other words, rather than trying to convince the naysayers to see things my way, I concentrated on manifesting my vision- knowing that once I produced them, my results would speak for themselves.

This is something that I talked to Caitlin Bell about while she interviewed me on her podcast (Healers With Hustles)

We also talked about:

  • My journey from being trained as a speech therapist to transitioning into PR

  • The challenges women face in using their voices within traditional Nigerian roles

  • The similarities of therapy and PR

  • How PR can be accessible for entrepreneurs

  • The "Five Whys" method to find clarity and purpose

  • How rest is important for nurturing creativity

  • The impact of the viral article I wrote out of frustration

  • How anger and frustration can be transformative forces

  • The importance of showing, not telling, when pursuing a new career

  • Why PR isn’t just a vanity tool

PS) Ready to get more visible, attract your dream clients and get paid what you want but don't have a great support system around you? I'd like to personally invite you to join Media Magic! For many of last year's attendees, it wasn't just The PR Powerhouse Playbook (my system for PR success) that made the investment so worth it- it was also the community of like-minded women that they are now apart of
