In September, I found myself asking myself a series of questions
I know you’re thinking “Such as?”
Well…
Like: "What is it that makes me the most happy, and how can I incorporate that into my life on more of a daily basis?"
But that was very much at the beginning of the month
I think that anybody who knows me well, knows that I love traveling
Yes, it's because I get to experience different cultures and spend time with the people that I love and eat delicious food and all of that sort of jazz
But I also realise that part of what I love about holidays and traveling, is also the person that I am when I'm on holiday
I know what I'm going to wear on each day, and I'm hyped to wear those things. I know what I'm going to do, I know who I'm going to see
So, not only am I more relaxed, but actually, I am more organised
With this in mind…
In line with that, one of the things that I started to ask myself every day in September (after this realisation) was: "How can I make my life easier for tomorrow?"
Specifically, the question I would ask myself is: "What can I do today to make my life easier tomorrow?"
As a result, I started to plan my outfits more, I started to plan my meals more; I also started to do more things workwise that would mean that, as I approached each day, I wouldn't be so stressed
As someone who suffers with productivity anxiety, I found that this question alone really, really lowered it and made me just kind of enjoy and romanticise my life a bit more
And so I would really encourage you to ask yourself that question too
"What can I do today to make my life easier for tomorrow?"
And also, to take it that step further as well, ask yourself how you can take the thing that you enjoy the most, the thing that makes you the happiest and incorporate that into your everyday life
(If you’re anything like me, you might want to journal your answers)
Because, in the words of Ali Abdaal, “the secret to productivity isn't discipline. It's joy”
In fact…
That is one of the key ingredients to the success of Media Magic
My luxury retreat for business women who want to go from stumped to savvy about how to get PR for their businesses
That’s why the ladies that came to Tulum, Mexico in July described it as being “phenomenal,” “life-changing,” “impactful” and more
For example:
“It was just the most fulfilling, impactful, centring experience… I feel like I was just all over the place physically and emotionally, and it just brought me back to me. [I experienced] support, love, encouragement, people actually seeing me [and] it felt amazing. It really did” (Tuoyo)
“This was a life-changing trip for me… The community, the incredible, powerful; like-minded women, the excellence of the venue, the excellence of the food- no detail was left out! Not only am I leaving sharpened and empowered…I’m leaving more PR-ready. What I thought I knew, I now know more. What I came to do, I’ve done so much more and now my presence and how I’m going to show up in the world as an incredible, powerful woman has gone up like a million levels” (Tiwa)
“It was a phenomenal experience [because] I needed the release of just being in a place that was calm and peaceful; where I could step away from my day-to-day operations… That gave me the chance to then truly hone in on and focus on what I was trying to accomplish... So the power of it for me was that separation and then the value of the information that we were given” (Vickie)
